how to start a novel?

Been toying with how i am going to start my novel. may be using flashback or start in the middle and see what happens...so many events to write, will be using many defining moments of my life in this novel.
Also thinking about the title of the novel

As the deer panteth....
sounds good to me.
basically that was how i felt, panting after something, trying to please everyone, trying to be happy in my situation.....

November novel

This blog will host my novel which i will be attempting this november. It would be mainly about life in the estate or plantation from the eyes of a planter's wife. Read about the character's unique experiences soon.
